Microsoft released its Windows Live Writer Beta, a desktop blog client for writing blogs. Here is the Writer Zone.
Several days ago, when I talked to my friends, is it necessary to create a desktop client for writing blogs? And soon, I found that there are already several blog client in the market. E.g. ecto, BlogJet, SharpMT. And now, the Windows Live Writer.
Someone give the features of a desktop client:
Runs on Windows Access to all of MT’s article fields WYSIWYG HTML/XHTML Editor Spell checker Access to article categories Ability to set publish date Access/editing of previous articles Image/file upload support Support for multiple Blogs Usable, intuitive interface I am writing this blog post in the Windows Live Writer now, to experience this simple new tool. And I would like to verify whether Windows Live Writer has the features above.
Runs on Windows - Sure, it is 'Windows' Live Writer, not 'Linux' Writer Access to all of MT’s article fields - Yes, by HTML code view WYSIWYG HTML/XHTML Editor - Yes Spell checker - Yes Access to article categories - Yes Ability to set publish date - Yes, by post properties Access/editing of previous articles - Yes Image/file upload support - Yes Support for multiple Blogs - Yes, other than Windows Live Space Usable, intuitive interface - Hmm, it is easy to use anyway
